Certifications

Duron Atlantic is associated with other Duron companies across Canada and the United States. We have improved our services in Atlantic Canada by implementing the following programs.

Duron Atlantic's Certifications
  1. We have developed a Safety Program with Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association (NSCSA) and were the second construction company in Nova Scotia to achieve our Certificate of Recognition in June 1996
  2. A formal Quality Managment Program was developed and we were one of the first contractors in Nova Scotia to achieve our registration to the ISO 9002:1994 Quality Standard in March 1999. We have presently upgraded to ISO 9001:2000.
  3. Our President Stan MacDougall has fulfilled all the requirements for certification as a Certified NACE Coatings Inspector in March 1999.
  4. In February 2002 Robert MacDonald, our General Superintendent, completed the ACI Shotcrete Nozzleman certification for Wet-Mix Process Vertical and Overhead.
  5. Our Senior Project Manager Paul Matheson successfully completed the SSPC C-2 Specifying and Managing Protective Coatings Projects in March 2002.
  6. In August 2002 Duron has retained Integrated Business Analysis to design and implement a Strategic Management System to improve our efficiency to service our client's contracting needs.
  7. Our Estimator/Project Coordinator Kirk MacDougall successfully completed the Construction Administrative Technology Program (CAT)
